St. Stephen’s
Youth Group is open to all youth of our parish grades 6 through
young adult. Regular meetings are held during the school year at
the Center and include monthly service projects, scripture study,
fellowship and fun. A calendar is published monthly to inform
members of events.
For service
projects this year we helped at the Parish Festival and the Grace
House Life Banquet, visited a nursing home, had a scavenger hunt for
the Parish Pantry, raised funds for the St. Stephen Mission Trip,
planned two Youth Masses, wrote letters to the troops, and made
Valentine tray favors for the hospital. We have had one fundraiser,
a dinner/theater,” The Gift of the Magi” in December. Social
activities have included attending the Promise in Glen Rose, holiday
parties, movie and game nights and bowling.
Upcoming events
for the remainder of this year will include service projects for the
church such as yard work, baking cookies for the Ciros Prison
Ministry, and various community service projects. Other activities
will include a youth Mass and BBQ, Scripture-based meetings, Sandy
Lake Amusement Park, and an end of the year party.
Interested youth
are encouraged to come and join us. Our Youth Group is an excellent
opportunity to make new friends and strengthen ones relationship
with God and the Church.
